At YFC, we are always asking the question, what do the youth of our city need?  Our mission is to help young people discover their God-given value and potential by caring for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and we feel that young people, especially coming out of a pandemic need a physical place to belong that meets those needs.  Fort George Baptist Church has been a tremendous partner to YFC, housing our office space and providing space for our drop in programs, but we've never really had a home to call our own.  Until now.

FGBC has a roughly 2000 square foot space that hasn't been used to its full potential.  It is ideally located at 15th and Highway 97, walking distance to 2 public high schools, and we are partnering together to transform the space into a state of the art youth centre and a home for our team to work in.  We've seen in Mackenzie the difference a youth centre can make and we're excited about the future home of YFC programs in Prince George.  We'll have a cafe space, a gaming space, lounge, as well as the flexibility to accomodate some of our existing programs like Spectrum.

The space needs work, as you can see below.  The budget for this project is $70000.  We've received already $30000 in a grant, and we have a local businessperson matching gifts up to a total of $20000.  That gets us to our budget.  Would you help? Go to our donate page and select the Youth Centre Project from the dropdown menu or send a cheque to Box 1806, Stn A, Prince George, BC, V2L 4V7.
